The mist-shrouded Hudson Valley hills create an enchanting backdrop. We wandered through ancient forests, half-expecting the Headless Horseman to gallop by. ?️?

? Quaint Architecture:
The leaning houses, weathered shutters, and creaky gates felt straight out of a storybook. Sleepy Hollow's residents seem to guard their secrets well. ️

? Halloween Vibes:
Yes, this is where Halloween magic began! The legend lives on, and we reveled in the spooky atmosphere.

? Photo Opportunities:
Every corner begged for a snapshot. The Old Dutch Church, the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery—each spot held a piece of history. ?

? Sunset Over the Hudson:
As the sun dipped behind the river, we felt the weight of centuries. Irving's words echoed: "A retreat whither I might steal from the world and its distractions and dream quietly away…" ?

Our kids were wide-eyed, imagining Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. Sleepy Hollow became more than a place—it became a shared memory. ?

Nice sign upon entering into the town! There was about a line of 15 minutes, and we went there on Oct 26th. It's definitely busier around Halloween. And there was some cute decor laying on the sign for the photos.

So awesome to visit this sign!! The drive from CT to NY/terrytown region is highly recommend. I’m sure I looked like a weirdo getting pics of the sign, but maybe residents are used to it

The sign is located in a very busy part of town. Recommend parking on the street "free" to grab a picture.

Do not go to the headless horseman hayride!!!! It’s a scam, we paid 50 dollars for nothing!!! No jump scares, no scares, no nothing!!! Please save your money! We expressed our concerns about neighborhood kids ruining the ride by jumping into the ride and the staff didn’t do anything. Please save your money and watch your favorite horror movie at home

Some say that if you come to Sleepy Hollow, you can hear the call of the Headless Horseman. He is still looking for his head that was removed by a cannon ball. When you feel the hairs on rhe back of your neck stand up, it's time to run as fast as you can.

Had to see while we visited Sleepy Hollow, BUT I had to take a picture from the car unfortunately. Looks better in theory as it sits on a intersection of a school with no place to park. Just a regular cool town sign
