Wir hatten heute die tollste Bootstour! Wir haben einen Ausflug zu den 10000 Inseln gemacht. Der Kapitän war ein toller Guide! Er wusste so viel über die Natur und alle Stellen, an denen man Tiere sehen könnte. Das Highlight waren sicherlich die Delfine. Der Kapitän wusste genau, wie man sie in die Nähe des Bootes bekommt und sie haben sogar mit uns/dem Boot gespielt.
Ich kann diese Tour jedem empfehlen! Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht und war auch noch lehrreich!

Die Tour ist unserer Meinung nach ihr Geld mehr als wert!

We had the greatest boat tour today! We did a trip to the 10000 islands. The captain was a great guide! He knew so much about the nature and all the spots where you could see animals. The highlight were for sure the dolphins. The captain knew exactly how to get them close to the boat and they even played with us/ the boat.
I can recommend this tour to everyone! It was so much fun and educative as well!

According to our opinion the tour is more than worth the cost and value for money is great.

THANK YOU for this trip! It was an absolutely amazing experience! Our captain who was a native from the island did such a great job! He was so encouraged to give the kids and us grown up’s the best possible experience. Following this, he searched large groups of dolphins for us and with his experience he managed them to follow the boat and did huge jumps! So so amazing! Thank you!

Went out with Captain Dave on a sunset cruise. We had beautiful weather and it was just the two of us.
Captain Dave is quite passionate about the Everglades and it shows. We learned so much about the ecosystems, history and marine life. He went way above your typical big boat tour. For example we were curious how these mangrove islands became built up enough to sustain humans and houses. Captain Dave whips the boat around and motors out to Shell island where you can see the layers of shells and other debris which was deposited by humans over many years to make up solid ground. Dropping us off on a island to take sunset photos and dolphins swimming in our wake was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend spending a little extra and going out on a small boat tour with Captain Dave.

This boat trip was my favorite part of my 10 day trip to southern Florida, including Miami and the Keys! Gary was our guide and I believe he is a lifelong resident of the area and was born on one of the islands. He had so much great local information and knowledge of all types. We got to hear local history stories, including ones from his own family's experiences here going back 100 years (also ask him what he ran over with his lawnmower last year, LOL!). He pointed out and had facts about all kinds of birds and was amazing at getting dolphins to swim and jump right next to the boat! We got to see an ancient Native American shell midden which was utterly amazing for this former archaeology student. It was really amazing to go out through the maze of remote mangrove islands with a capable, safe captain. We got a close up look at islands which were covered in all manner of birds (rookery) at sunset. Thank you for a wonderful memory!

We went there on a whim, glad we did. The captain was very entertaining and answered all questions. He is truly a pleasure for an eco tourist. I only have videos of the dolphins no pictures but he got them to play with us in three different occasions. He goes out of his way fo ensure that you enjoy the ride and he js very respectful of the wildlife and waterway. He is also great with kids.

Gery was amazing! We did a tour on Sunday and when we got there they had 2 boats ready to go for busses. We didn't have an appointment (we were just out driving), so we walked into this cute little store museum and asked if we could get a tour. The very nice lady at the counter called and asked if this guy could take out two people. (First, it was his day off, and second, it's only two people) She said Gery will be right over. We were very excited as I had read amazing reviews while we were sitting in the parking lot about Gery. Well, they didn't lie. Gery is amazing! He was from the area, and we would've paid money just to hang out with Gery for the day. He was so cool and knowledgeable. It was like a history lesson from your cool uncle that you always wanted to hang out with. We've already told quite a few people about Gery and his place called Smallwood Boat Tours. We are in Florida once a year, and Gery is now on the list of things to do EVERY year!!
